Tim Hughes' Next Worship Conference Set for New Year

|PIC1|The next worship training conference led by popular worship leader Tim Hughes is scheduled for 13 January, 2007.

Hosted by Hughes and Al Gordon, three afternoon workshops have been announced to 'ENCOUNTER, EQUIP, and EMPOWER' worship trainees.

Mike Lloyd (a.k.a. 'Dr Evil') will help attendees 'encounter' as he explains 'how to make sense of the reality of the world' and reflect it in worship.

A Keyboard Lab will be led by Ben Cantelon, as he aims to 'equip' trainees and reveal his secrets in the practical session.

Lastly, Stuart Townend will attempt to 'empower' and provide profound insights.

"The heart is to find as many ways possible to resource worship leaders and musicians to strengthen the church," Hughes previously shared with Christian Today regarding Worship Central.

The first session of Worship Central kicked off 6 May, 2006, and attracted more than 700 worship leaders and trainees.

The day included space for worship and ministry; teaching to inspire and challenge through a range of practical workshops led by Tim Hughes, Mike Pilavachi, Al Gordon and Mark Beswick.

Workshops included "The Sound of the Heart" by Al Gordon, which explored into the values of worship, and "The Journey of Worship" led by Tim Hughes, where he guided worshippers to take a practical look into leading a session of worship.

In addition, Mark Beswick led the "Vocal Workshop", where he brought his vast experience as a vocal coach to equip people in how to most effectively use and train their voices.

Nicky Gumbel, Alpha Chaplain commented: "Worship Central is a wonderful resource for anyone looking to develop the worship life of their local church."

The conference will be held at the Holy Trinity Brompton. Doors will open at 10am.
