In the next episode of "This Is Us," Kate Pearson (Chrissy Metz) and Toby Damon (Chris Sullivan) take their relationship to the next level and decide to get married in the courthouse.

The trailer for the upcoming installment titled "The Most Disappointed Man" was released just recently and showed Kate and Damon in line at the courthouse. They apparently want to get married sooner rather than later. They had plans on having a more elaborate wedding but it seems Kate wants to scrap that for something simpler and faster. The clerk tells them to come tomorrow so that they can get married. Toby does not look like he is totally behind the rushed marriage. Kate can sense his hesitance as she looks at him with concern. It remains to be seen if the couple will follow through with their immediate plan or if it will fall by the wayside.

Meanwhile, back in earlier times, Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) and his wife Rebecca (Mandy Moore) encounter some setbacks when adopting Randall (Sterling K. Brown). "I don't believe that child belongs in your home," a judge tells the couple in his office. It is up to him to decide on whether Jack and Rebecca can adopt the kid and raise him as their own. "Whether you approve or not, Randall is my son," Rebecca tells the judge with conviction.

In the previous episode, the story took place during the time when Randall was about to become a dad for the first time. He struggled during that phase and even suffered a breakdown. Nevertheless, his wife Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) and his mom were there to support him and guide him through those moments. His wife gave birth eventually and everything turned out fine.

"This is Us" season 2 episode 7 will air on Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 9 p.m. EDT on NBC.
