Thanksgiving dramas are about to unfold in the past and present lives of Pearsons in the next episode of "This Is Us."

In the episode titled "Pilgrim Rick," Jack (Milo Ventimiglia), Rebecca (Mandy Moore), and their kids will celebrate Thanksgiving. But instead of a stress-free holiday, the trailer revealed that the family will have to deal with a major hurdle before they can finally sit down at the festive dinner table because their car broke down.

Fast forward to the present, Jack and Rebecca's only daughter Kate (Chrissy Metz) will not enjoy her dinner date with her boyfriend, Toby (Chris Sullivan), because of her struggle to lose weight. Based on the trailer, Kate will tell Toby that all she wants to do is to control her weight. This seems to offend her boyfriend.

On the other hand, Kate's adoptive brother, Randall (Sterling K. Brown), appears to be very excited to start the Thanksgiving festivities with his kids. But the day will not turn out the way that he initially wanted when their mother Rebecca drops by to celebrate with them. In the trailer, Randall found out something from his mother which absolutely broke his heart.

The Synopsis of the upcoming episode reads: "As Jack, Rebecca and the three kids make their way to Rebecca's parents' house for their traditional Thanksgiving holiday, an unforeseen detour occurs. Kate makes two drastic life-changing decisions. Kevin brings Olivia to Randall's house for Thanksgiving. Randall's heart is broken when he learns about a lifelong secret his mother has kept from him."

While the synopsis for episode did not mention what happened between Jack and Rebecca, speculations claim that the couple will experience a lot of hardships in their married life that could lead to their falling off. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Moore revealed that Jack and Rebecca are not in the best relationship.

In the upcoming installments of the series, fans are looking forward to finding out what caused the separation of the Pearson couple before Jack succumbed to death.

NBC will air the next episode of "This Is Us" on Tuesday, Nov. 22.
