AMC's post-apocalyptic series "The Walking Dead" showed much of the leadership qualities of ex-sheriff Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln). But, despite his skills to lead his pack, Rick had moments when he developed tension with his group members, the most recent of which was with Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus).

Many believe that the difference in temperament between the two is one of the primary reasons why Rick and Daryl had been having conflicts. Reedus, in an earlier interview, hinted that his character would establish a dispute with Rick in "The Walking Dead." This was probably what fans saw in the latest episode of the most-watched cable show every Sundays, where Daryl reached his boiling point and held Rick in a chokehold.

The fight started when Daryl wanted to bomb a part of the Sanctuary in order to let the walkers in, but Rick had something different planned. The scene ended with Daryl riding his motorcycle, leaving Rick. But, Reedus, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, hinted that the fight was like that of brothers. "So we have that relationship. We're both still pissed at each other, but how far are you going to take it?" Reedus added.

More than this, Reedus teased that fans could expect Daryl to go rogue throughout the season, with him disagreeing with Rick's choices. He also revealed that he would be doing some decision making of his own during his rebel moments, all without Rick's knowledge. He further divulged that "bigger rogue moments" await fans.

Daryl had become one of the fans' favorite as the show had witnessed how great he was in killing walkers with his bow and arrow and how he had become the trusted wingman of Rick. Daryl had always been known to be hot-headed, a far cry from Rick, and could quickly take down a person without batting his eye.

"The Walking Dead" season 8 airs Sundays, at 9 p.m. EST on AMC.
