After much deliberation on who would be the character to jump into the other show, rumors finally were put to rest, following the announcement that "The Walking Dead's" Morgan, played by Lennie James, would be seen in the sister show, "Fear The Walking Dead."

The major announcement was a slap to some of the wildest predictions of the crossover, which, since the announcement, had garnered many theories and support. But, the big news revealed on Sunday's "Talking Dead" earned mixed reactions from fans.

The news did not seem to sit well with most of the fans. One fan said that he was disappointed by the move of the execs to move Morgan to "Fear The Walking Dead." Some speculated that the decision was to attract more viewers to the spinoff series.

"Morgan going to FEAR is still not enough for me to tune into Fear... nice try @TheWalkingDead !!! #TWD #TheWalkingDead ... now if they would have taken Carol... then I woulda tuned in for sure," user @TheMiguelShow wrote.

Many also wondered how the crossover would make sense, considering the timeline of the two AMC shows.

But, there were also those that supported James' character on his next phase. "What? Morgan leaving? Wow!! will miss him very much on #TWD Good luck Lenny James!!! #TheWalkingDead#TheTalkingDead," user @catch 22x3 tweeted.

Another one expressed his excitement over the crossover but admitted that it was a disappointment that the character chosen was not Abraham Ford, played by Michael Cudlitz.

The rumors that Abraham will join the crossover had been hyped weeks prior to Sunday's announcement. Abraham had been chopped off "The Walking Dead" in its season 7 premiere, when he and Glenn (Steven Yeun) suffered the brunt of Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) bat, Lucille.
