Former "American Idol" contestants join the upcoming seasons of "The Voice."

According to reports, Jennifer Hudson will occupy one of the red chairs in "The Voice" season 13.

NBC president of alternative and reality group Paul Telegdy announced in a press release that the Oscar-winner and "American Idol" season 3 finalist will be one of the coaches in the upcoming season.

"Jennifer is an extraordinary vocal talent and one of the premier voices of our time. She embodies the experience, expertise, positivity and sheer talent that 'The Voice' stands for," Telegdy said in a statement. "Her exceptional skills as a singer and actress have extended to film, television and Broadway, which makes her an incredible addition and a natural fit for our show."

Hudson will join series regulars Blake Shelton and Adam Levine, who are both present in the long-running singing reality competition since 2011. The upcoming season will also feature the return of Miley Cyrus, who once joined the show as a coach in season 11.

The list of other previous coaches for the show includes Ceelo Green, Christina Aguilera, Shakira, Usher, Pharell Williams, as well as Gwen Stefani and Alicia Keys, who are both serving as coaches for the currently running season 12.

Aside from the season 13 coach lineup, Telegdy also revealed that another "American Idol" alum will join the show for season 14.

According to the network president, multi-awarded singer Kelly Clarkson will be one of the four coaches when the singing reality show returns for its 14th installment.

"Kelly has been a part of 'The Voice' family for many years as an adviser and performer. We are thrilled she has chosen to join us as a coach to mentor the next generation through our unique vocal boot camp," the network executive stated in a separate press release. "Every time Kelly Clarkson sings you are reminded what an incredible voice really is. We are looking forward to the sound of Kelly Clarkson on 'The Voice.'"

NBC is still airing "The Voice" season 12 every Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT.
