Details about the fourth and final season of "The Strain" have been released, after FX revealed the titles of the horror drama's last season.
SpoilerTV listed down the titles of the upcoming episode of "The Strain" season 4, which include the season premiere called "The Worm Turns," while episode 2 will be known as "The Blood Tax." It will be followed by the episode titled "One Shot," then the "New Horizons" will be aired for episode 4.
For episode 5, fans will see the episode called "Belly of the Beast," while episodes 6 and 7 will be called "Tainted Love" and "Ouroboros," respectively. The eighth episode will be called "Extraction," while the penultimate episode's title will be known as "The Traitor." Finally, the series finale will be aptly called "The Last Stand."
However, the network remains mum about the official premiere date of "The Strain" season 4.
News about the cancellation of the vampire drama series was first announced in September 2016, right in the middle of the airing of season 3.
"We sincerely thank Carlton Cuse, Guillermo del Toro, Chuck Hogan and their creative team as well as the fantastic cast for three exciting seasons of The Strain," FX Networks president of original programming Nick Grad said in a press statement. "Though we're sad to see it go, we fully support the way in which they are crafting the fourth season's dramatic conclusion."
Meanwhile, showrunner Cuse revealed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in October that the lives of fan-favorite characters may not be safe when the series returns for its fourth season.
"One of the things that really excited me from the get-go about showrunning this project was the idea of getting to these really dramatic endpoints for these characters and knowing that it's not a story where everybody lives happily ever after," Cuse stated. "That's cool — it gives you the chance to do stuff as a storyteller and deliver a narrative that I think is really exciting."
"The Strain" season 4 is expected to return to FX by summer this year.
