'RHONY' season 8 news: Salary of LuAnn, Sonja, and Ramona reduced to pay-per-scene system?

Last month, it was reported that Bethenny Frankel and Carole Radziwill filmed a scene for the eighth season of "The Real Housewives of New York." There have been rumors that apart from the two ladies, the other NYC Housewives have not started filming their scenes due to contract negotiations.

But now, a new report claims that Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, LuAnn de Lesseps, and Dorinda Medley will also be back for the upcoming season of the Bravo show, but allegedly some of them won't be full-time cast members when the reality show returns.

According to Page Six, LuAnn, Ramona, and Sonja will only be part-time cast members as they have failed to secure new contracts with Bravo. The website claims that the ladies' tactics while negotiating with the network backfired, and the three have been reduced to a "pay for play" or pay per scene system, according to a source. The insider said that the rate per scene is $20,000.

"They tried to power play Bravo," said the source to Page Six. "They tried to hold out for more money, and the network said, 'Guess what? We're not even going to give you a contract.'"

Back in October, the website reported that LuAnn, Sonja, and Ramona were refusing to sign contracts until they were paid almost as much as Bethenny, who was reportedly earning $1 million per season.

Despite the alleged demotion, a source told E! News that everyone, including LuAnn, Sonja, and Ramona, were happy about their contracts. The website also reports that a new cast member, Juliana Weinstein, has started filming her scenes for season 8 of "RHONY." Another source told E! that some veteran cast members were stalled in negotiations, so other new cast members reportedly had a head start in filming.

Heather Thomson and Kristen Taekman are not returning to the show. Earlier this year, the ladies said in their respective statements that they are leaving the show to focus on their business ventures.
