Last week on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," Peter Thomas tried to mend his relationship with Cynthia Bailey, while Kandi Burruss went back to making music with Demetria McKinney. Meanwhile, Phaedra Parks brought son Ayden to his first day on kindergarten, and the experience proved to be an emotional one for the mother-of-two as she thought about all the things that her children will be doing since they seem to be growing up fast.

On Ayden's first day in kindergarten, he told his mother on the way to school that he was feeling scared because she won't be there with him.

"Oh, but, Mommy's going to take you to school every day… I'm going to pick you up every day," said Phaedra.

"But I want you to go wherever I go," said Ayden.

At that point, Phaedra struggled to control her emotions as she told her son that she couldn't believe how big he's getting and how he's not her baby anymore.

"I'm still gonna be your baby," said Ayden, which made Phaedra cry. Later, Phaedra prayed for Ayden and while holding his hand, she asked God to give him strength to be "the big boy that he is supposed to be today," and to give her strength today.

Phaedra has been the sole caregiver of her boys since Apollo went to jail, and reports claim that the reality star has not taken her children to visit their father since he went to prison last year. But sources told TMZ that Phaedra and Apollo have a mutual agreement to not let the kids see him behind bars because it might be too traumatic for them. So for now, Apollo's solution is to communicate with his sons via FaceTime, according to insiders.

Next week, Phaedra will be experiencing some friendship drama after Kandi learns from her business partner that Phaedra and Porsha were talking about her at her own party. Also, things are going to get ugly between Phaedra and Porsha at Cynthia's customer appreciation event.

"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" airs Sundays, 8 p.m. on Bravo.
