'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' news: Show makes way for fans of the Super Bowl

"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" did not tackle with the football players of the National Football League (NFL), since the show about the colorful lives of U.S. housewives actually skipped an episode air date.

Instead of airing episode 12, Bravo, the home network of the show, ran last week's episode with a twist in place of the expected new episode. Instead of the anticipated 12th episode, fans of the show saw the "Social Edition" of season 10, episode 11 for "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." This special episode aimed to gather social media comments from fans of the TV show on Facebook and Twitter, and made them a part of the show.

This move by Bravo made it less difficult for people to choose between skipping an episode of their favorite housewives and missing their favorite footballers' game. It gave fans an option on which program to tune in to during Super Bowl night, provided there is only one television in the household. Those who chose the Super Bowl last Sunday night could rest assured that they did not miss much of their favorite housewives from Atlanta.

The next chapter of the lives of the said housewives, episode 12 of season 10, will air on Feb. 11 instead. This means fans should expect the show to pick up where episode 11 left off. In this episode, viewers will continue to witness the domestic disputes among fan favorites NeNe Leakes, Kandi Burruss and the rest of the 'wives.

For those who missed the Social Edition episode in favor of the Super Bowl, the show also featured some of the housewives' dedications and messages as well as remarks from the show's producers, which hopefully got fans to relive some of the highlights of the seasons. But basically, it featured the same happenings as that of the Jan. 28 episode in which Kenya began thinking about starting a family with her new husband who is quite far from her at the moment. Cynthia, on the other hand, learned quite a revelation that she may not be the only woman in Will's life thanks to a hearsay from one of the housewives.

More similar events will unfold once the next episode airs on Sunday, Feb. 11, at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.
