In the next episode of "The Gifted," Reed Strucker (Stephen Moyer) seemingly cooperates with Agent Jace Turner (Coby Bell) to find the Mutant Underground.

The trailer for the upcoming installment titled "eXodus," was released recently and showed Reed and Turner talking about finding the Mutant Underground. "What happens after?" Reed asks the agent. Apparently, Turner has the profiles of the mutants that are targeted for capture including Eclipse (Sean Teale) and John Proudstar (Blair Redford).

Meanwhile, Eclipse, Proudstar, Reed's wife Kate (Amy Acker), and his kids Lauren (Natalie Alyn Lind) and Andy (Percy Hynes White) appear to be holed in a house and surrounded by a mob outside. The dangerous mob has guns and seem to know that the mutants are inside the house. Andy insists that they can take down the humans by using their powers. However, Lauren tells the group, "There's an army out there."

Eclipse opens the door and shoots light beams out of his hands at the shotgun of a human who is not able to blast it. It seems that the mutant group manages to escape in vehicles but the mob chases after them. It remains to be seen if all of them will be able to escape to safety.

In the last episode, Reed made a deal with Turner to help him find the whereabouts of the Mutant Underground. In return, his wife and kids would not be detained in prison and he would reunite with them as a free man. However, he would be going back on his word to Eclipse that he would not put the Mutant Underground in danger.

It remains to be seen if Reed will betray Eclipse's trust and cooperate with Turner and the Sentinel Services.

"The Gifted" season 1 episode 3 will air on Monday, Oct. 16 at 9 p.m. EDT on Fox.
