Jenelle Evans of "Teen Mom 2" got arrested for allegedly assaulting her ex-fiancé's new girlfriend.

According to reports, the 23-year-old reality TV star was taken into custody after an altercation broke out when her former fiancé, Nathan Griffith, showed up at her home to collect his belongings. In a statement shared to Us Weekly by law enforcement, it is said that police arrived at Evans' home in Myrtle Beach a little after 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20.

"She was assaulted by her boyfriend's ex, who threw a drinking glass at her head, causing injury," the statement said of the 29-year-old unnamed victim.

Meanwhile, Evans' attorney Amy S. Lawrence said that the star warned her ex not to bring his new girlfriend to her house when he comes to get his belongings. Addressing the reports on Friday, Lawrence said that Evans asked Griffith not to bring her along, and he reportedly agreed.

"It is my understanding that Nathan was asked to come get some of his things and that [Evans] would leave them at the end of the driveway so that there would be no need to have interaction between the two of them," Lawrence told Us Weekly.

The lawyer added that when the girlfriend began to get out of the car, Evans felt threatened and "as she walked out [of her house] she had a glass of water in her hand" and she then threw water at Griffith's girlfriend. Lawrence said the "momentum" led her to throw the glass as well.

Starcasm reports that Evans was released from jail on Friday afternoon after posting a $500 bond. Shortly after being released, the star took to Twitter to post lyrics from Drake's song, "Energy," which read: "I got enemies, got a lot of enemies. Got a lot of people that try to drain me out my energy."

Evans and Griffith, who are parents to one-year old son Kaiser, broke off their engagement earlier this year. Evans has been arrested on 12 separate occasions prior to the reported incident.
