Are Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris planning to make some new music together? A new report claims that the couple has been spending time in a studio and both of them are determined to mix their musical styles — pop for Swift and electronic dance music for Harris — in a new song.

A source told the Daily Star on Sunday that the "Shake it Off" singer and the "Summer" hitmaker have been talking about collaborating since they started dating.

"They've had a couple of sessions jamming in the studio and are working with producer Detail," said the source. Detail is behind some of Jay Z and Beyonce's tracks which include "Drunk in Love."

The insider revealed that the 25-year old singer has already done the vocals for one of the songs while she was in Los Angeles, and it is speculated that the song could be premiered at the American Music Awards later this year.

"Musically, Calvin and Taylor are from different worlds — but they are determined to bring their styles together," the source added.

Harris has previously collaborated with his ex, Rita Ora, on the song "I Will Never Let You Down." After their relationship ended, Ora was banned from performing the song.

Reps for both Swift and Harris have yet to confirm the reports.

Meanwhile, the pair's relationship appears to be going from strength to strength since they started dating earlier this year. The two made their first public appearance as a couple at the Billboard Music Awards, and they became "Instagram official" last month when the "Style" singer shared a photo of them enjoying a day on the pool aboard a swan floatie. They also spent the Fourth of July weekend together at Swift's Rhode Island mansion along with their friends.

The EDM DJ appears to be smitten with the singer as he recently told Manchester radio station Key 103 that their relationship is "going absolutely fantastic." He said that it's interesting that a lot has been written about their relationship lately and if they don't do anything publicly for a while, someone will "make something up" just to make headlines.

"For me it could be a lot worse and I'd still be insanely happy with her so I'm good with it," said Harris.
