In the next episode of "Supernatural," Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) and his brother Dean (Jensen Ackles) explore what Jack (Alexander Calvert) is capable of doing with his powers.

The trailer for the upcoming installment titled "The Rising Sun" was released just recently and showed Sam and Dean explaining to Jack who his father was and how powerful he is. Sam tells Dean, "Whatever his powers are, they can be used for good." However, Dean is not very confident about that statement for he thinks that Jack will not be able to control his powers. Even Jack thinks he may hurt someone unintentionally. Nevertheless, the brothers attempt to see what Jack is capable of doing with his awesome capabilities.

Apparently, even their friend Donatello Redfield (Keith Szarabajka) wants Jack to embrace his powers as he says to them, "It's like asking a lion not to be a lion." Sam tells him that Jack is a human and not just a random animal. However, Redfield replies, "But with a strong dose of God-juice." It remains to be seen how powerful Jack is and if the brothers will agree to allow Jack to embrace his unearthly strengths.

In the season premiere, Sam and Dean found out that Jack was actually the son of the angel Castiel (Misha Collins). Prior to that revelation, Dean planned to kill him thinking he was dangerous to himself and the people around him. They decided to protect Jack instead from other rogue angels who wanted to use him for his powers.

Miriam (Carlena Britch) was one of them but she unfortunately stabbed Jack in the heart. He surprisingly did not die and pulled the knife out of his chest. Sam then stabbed Miriam with his own knife and she died in the end.

"Supernatural" season 13 episode 2 will hit the airwaves on Thursday, Oct. 19 at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
