A promotional still for "Supernatural" The CW

Castiel (Misha Collins), Sam (Jared Padalecki), and Dean (Jensen Ackles) will enter the world of rock 'n roll in the next episode of "Supernatural' season 12.

The synopsis for the episode titled "Rock Never Dies" revealed that Lucifer (Rick Springfield) will return and come up with a new plan to get more soul in hell.

According to the synopsis of episode 7, Lucifer will possess the body of a popular rock star named Vince Vicente. This will give Lucifer the opportunity to take more souls since all of Vince's fans are willing to do whatever he asks them too.

The synopsis also revealed that Lucifer will stage a secret VIP concert where he is plotting to kill all of the attendees. This means that the Winchesters and Castiel must to everything they can in order to infiltrate the concert and stop Lucifer from his evil plan.

The episode is also expected to feature the unexpected tandem of the angel Castiel and the demon Crowley (Mark Sheppard) to capture Lucifer. This will be Crowley's way to get the hell's throne back from Lucifer so that he can rule again, while Castiel wants his revenge. This will be the first time that the two characters will work together for a single goal.

The complete synopsis for the upcoming episode of "Supernatural" season 12 reads: "Lucifer realizes that as rock star Vince Vincente, he can get his fans to do whatever he wants. Thrilled with this power, Lucifer arranges to play a secret VIP concert in order to kill all of them. Sam, Dean and Castiel enter the underbelly of the music industry to try to stop him."

However, "Supernatural" season 12 will take a short hiatus to make way for the Thanksgiving holiday. This means that the episode will be aired on The CW next Thursday, Dec. 1.
