'Super Seducer' release date canceled news: Sony blocks game about picking up women from PS4 release

It looks like the charms of video game "Super Seducer" does not work on Sony, as the Japanese company has blocked the release of the pickup artist game on its PlayStation 4 (PS4) consoles.

"Super Seducer" from developer and publisher RLR Training Inc. just got barred from the PS4 on its release date and might not have a chance to get released on the platform in the future. Sony has also refused to comment on the issue, which is unfortunate for those who want to play the game on their PS4s.

Meanwhile, the creator of the game, self-proclaimed seducer expert Richard La Ruina, has commented on the issue with "My comment is that I have no comment on this." It is worth noting that La Ruina touts his game as a digital lesson for men who wanted to learn "tried and true attraction hacks" for getting women. The game was released on Steam without any problems and only encountered issues with the PS4 owners.

Those who have played the game on the PC can easily see why it was blocked from the PS4 since the game is actually less of a video game and more of a conversation exam, where players can choose their response during a fictional dating situation or other opportunities where women can supposedly be seduced.

The game is essentially a full motion video (FMV) styled "adventure" title where the gameplay consists of choosing what to say to in-game women in certain situations. The game's Steam page also promises that if one makes the right choices in-game, one will also make the right choices in life.

Meanwhile, those who have been decrying Sony's supposed censorship for the game might want to remember that Sony actually operates its PS4 market independently from other markets, meaning it has its own set of rules for considering what can be a video game or not. Unfortunately for La Ruina, he will just have to make do with a PC audience for his seduction technique tips.
