PC gamers' wallets are about to get thinner this holiday, as the impending yearly Steam sales are emerging on the horizon, and the dates of the three upcoming sales have also been leaked online.

Steam is not giving its customers any rest, as there will be three sales all crammed before Christmas, namely the Halloween, Autumn, and Winter sales. The closest one is the Steam Halloween sale, which is set to arrive on Oct. 26 and run until Nov. 1. Steam Autumn sale starts on Nov. 22 until Nov. 28. Last but not the least, the Steam Winter sale will take place on Dec. 21 up until the new year on Jan. 4, 2018.

The Steam Autumn sale also coincides with the Black Friday shopping and consumerism spree on Nov. 24. Valve, Steam's owner company, apparently took advantage of this opportunity to present its customers with an alternative to long lines of waiting for a shop with a Black Friday sale to open.

So far, no list of actual games that will be on sale has been published yet, but the sale dates have been confirmed as legitimate by the developers. The leak was published by Laura Kate Dale from Kotaku UK. She based her information on an anonymous developers' tip. Rest assured, Dale has a good track record when it comes to leaks, according to Rolling Stone, and as is evident in her authentic detail leaks for the PlayStation 4 (PS4) and Nintendo Switch even before their official announcements.

Steam users can now safely assume that the three upcoming sales are inevitable and prepare their wallets for the tide of game discounts which can go as high as 90 percent off the original price.

The Steam sales have a reputation among users who have been entranced by the deals and bundles. The sales generally compel players to carelessly spend their Holiday savings on cheap games, usually recent or old AAA titles that have been significantly discounted. By the end of the sales, a mixed feeling of guilt, anxiety, and desperation usually overcomes the consumers, though all in good spirit.
