This year, more and more children began to look forward to the newest Shopkins toys, as the toy collection, which won this year's "Girl Toy of The Year" award, has beaten even Barbie, Disney Princess and Lego products.
Parents have expressed their approval of the toys as the figures, which resemble grocery and department store goods with faces, have put the fun back into creative play. Now that Christmas is just around the corner, many children around the world have included Shopkins toys on their wish lists, especially since the season 4 collection is said to be released very soon.
Kids will have a lot to look forward to with the new collection as this time around, it will also have a variety of pets called Petkins, which will be included in packs along with grocery items. Just like the previous seasons, the toys will most likely be available in 5 pack, 12 pack, mega pack, or blind baskets.
For season 4, there will be 48 new characters classified into 10 teams—Fruit and Veg, Bakery, Sweet Treats, Accessories, Homewares, Garden, Party Time, Petshop, Limited Edition (Perfume), and Petkins. On Sunday, Dec. 13, the Shopkins' official Facebook page announced the big reveal for some new characters via the DisneyCar Toys YouTube channel. In the video, DisneyCar Toys hosts Sandra and Spidey showed off some of the Petkins such as Cherry Pie and Tubby Butter.
Right now, it is unclear when Shopkins season 4 will be made available, but according to Toyztoy.com, Shopkins creator Moose Toys said in a statement that they have not provided an exact date for the launch of season 4.
"The earliest it could be at retailers is late December but will differ from country to country," said Moose Toys.
According to Toyztoy, some Shopkins season 4 characters are now on sale on Ebay, but it is advised to wait for the official release to get them at the best price.
Shopkins season 4 will be available at Target, Toys R Us, Walmart, Kohl's and other leading toy stores as well as on Amazon this month.
