Developers of the survival multiplayer game "Rust" has seemingly cleaned off the game's tarnish, as they have overhauled its graphics after it left the early access development phase.
Developer and publisher Facepunch Studios has deemed it well to update the graphics of the game to today's standards. It can be recalled that "Rust" has just recently entered a different development status and left early access on steam. This happened last Friday, Feb. 9, for the PC, though it also came with a price increase of $35 from the mere $20 price tag back in early access.
The final release came with improved lighting and post-processing, as well as new flora and fauna in the game world. This means more foliage in the world to hide in while one is being chased by lawless players, or ambush someone hapless enough to pass by and take their equipment.
The lighting of the game has also been noticeably improved and is now more appealing to the eyes and has a more vibrant look. The developers also explained that the graphics of the game have reworked from the ground up where a lot of environmental inconsistencies were ironed out, in addition to the environment, other aspects of the game were also improved.
Apparently, the visual upgrade was also the developers' answer to the increasing concerns back in early access where the game continuously had to downgrade its graphics in order to accommodate gameplay changes. It seems those compromises were necessary in order to make the game more optimized. The recent graphical update seeks to rectify this development problem.
The change in the game's development phase also meant that the developers would be resorting to less frequent updates, where before in the early access phase, they had a weekly patching schedule. Now the big updates will be arriving monthly since a lot of bugs and problems have been fixed.
