In the next episode of "Riverdale," Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse) and Archie Andrews (K.J. Apa) try to stop escalating tensions between the North and South side.

The trailer for the upcoming installment titled "Death Proof" was just released recently and showed Riverdale Mayor McCoy (Robin Givens) instructing the police to arrest some of the Southside Serpents including Sweet Pea (Jordan Connor) and Toni Topaz (Vanessa Morgan) in their school. Apparently, this may have something to do with the rampant drugs in the community. However, this causes the Serpents to consider a dangerous alliance with a longtime rival in order to get back at the North. Jones strongly disapproves of this and decides to go to his dad FP (Skeet Ulrich) for help. "This is about territory. Challenge them," FP says to his son from jail. Jones's dad happens to be a respected member of the Serpents.

Jones and Andrews decide to challenge the rival in a drag race. They show up in their blue convertible and are ready to take on the formidable enemy's red vehicle. Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch) stands in front of the two roaring cars and then waves her red scarf, signaling them to go. They speed off instantaneously and leave behind a cloud of dust. It remains to be seen who will win the critical drag race and what will be at stake for the riders and their friends.

In the last episode, the mysterious Black Hood told Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) to end her relationships with Jones and Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes), otherwise he would kill them. Cooper did as she was told to protect her friends who were confused why she suddenly had a change of attitude towards them.

"Riverdale" season 2 episode 6 will hit the airwaves on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
