During the 10th season of "The Real Housewives of Orange County," one of the most shocking storylines involved Vicki Gunvalson's ex-boyfriend, Brooks Ayers. Some of the ladies began to speculate that Brooks was faking his cancer when he told them that he had stopped treatments and chosen to undergo alternative treatments to heal his cancer.

As the ladies of the OC began to dig up more information to learn the truth about his condition, Brooks maintained that he was telling the truth and even showed his medical records to Tamra Judge.

Now, in an exclusive interview with E! News, Brooks gave an update about his health, and while he said that he still has cancer, the TV personality revealed that he is getting better and that his health is "improving."

"I went from stage 3 initial diagnosis now down to stage 2," he said to E! "I have no more inflammations, lesions in my lymphatic system. Just have some blood work numbers that need to come down and normalize."

The businessman said that he will not take a lie detector test upon the advice of his lawyer. However, he hopes that the OC ladies will come around and support him instead of suspecting him of faking his disease.

At one point during season 10 of the show, Tamra urged him to share his medical records with the rest of the ladies so they would stop speculating about his health. Both he and Vicki refused to do so at the time as Vicki trusted that Tamra would speak up for them if ever Brooks's cancer would be discussed again.

Brooks said that he doesn't regret not sharing his medical records with the group.

"They weren't sincere in wanting to know about my health," he explained. "They were interested in trying to catch me in a lie and Vicki in a lie or a cover up."

And though the two have already ended their four-year relationship, Brooks said that Vicki still believes in him.

"Post the reunion, she told me I truly believe everything you have told me and the ladies just backed me into a corner," said Brooks.
