This week on "The Real Housewives of Orange County," Vicki Gunvalson invited a medium into her home to conduct a séance so she could talk to her late mother, Meghan Edmonds tried to reason with her stepdaughter, and the ladies attempted to cheer Vicki up by taking her out to go bowling.

The mood in Vicki's house was bleak as she continued to grieve, and her brother, Billy, was not doing so well either. Vicki decided to call a medium so they could talk to their late mother. She said that talking to her mom would give her a sense of closure.

"If it gives me a sense of peace, what's the harm?" she told the camera.

Vicki's boyfriend Brooks, Tamra Judge, and Shannon Beador came for the séance, and later, the medium, Tim Braun, arrived. Tim said that they were going to do a "big, old-fashioned séance," but Tamra was skeptical because she only knows one medium to be authentic while others are "sketchy people who claim they can talk to spirits."

Tim told them that Vicki's mother was with them and that the last thing she remembered was closing her eyes and that there was no pain, and he added that there was nothing anyone could do to stop her from dying.

Tim said that Vicki's mom showed him her teeth, saying they're finally perfect. This shocked Vicki because her mom did have some dental work done and Vicki paid for it.

Meanwhile, Meghan learned that her stepdaughter Hayley has not been meeting the attendance requirements for her school. Hayley is on an independent study program, which means she gets her own curriculum and coursework to work on at home, and she's required to go to school just once a week for exams. Meghan found out that Hayley has been skipping exam days to spend time with her ailing mother, but she's also not doing her homework. Meghan tried to fix things by giving Hayley a weekly allowance of $100, but the bribe didn't seem to work as Meghan found out later that Hayley didn't even attempt to do her homework.

Later, the ladies went to the bowling alley, and Vicki lamented that whoever is making the shoes is doing a bad job.

"I wish Gucci or Louis Vuitton would make bowling shoes," Vicki said.

But she hates losing a game so she put on the shoes anyway. Meghan was also in the game to win, so she put on the proper footwear.

Later, Vicki told Tamra that she needed to spend time with her daughter Briana, and that her mother could watch Briana's children.

"My mom will babysit them," Vicki confidently said. Then, she realized that her mom is dead.

"I forgot my mom died," a stunned Vicki told her friends, and the housewives gathered all around her to comfort her.

She told them that she's been leaving her mother phone messages every day because to her, she's still very much alive.

"The Real Housewives of Orange County" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
