This week on "The Real Housewives of Orange County," Shannon Beador tried to be the bigger person and invited Meghan Edmonds to her Bunco party after the new Housewife pointedly excluded her from her fund raiser last week, and a devastating phone call brought Vicki Gunvalson to her knees.

After Meghan invited all of the Housewives except Shannon to her party last week, Shannon had every opportunity to exclude Meghan from her Bunco game night, but thought that maybe it would be a good idea to make peace with the younger woman by inviting her to her home.

Meghan was far from gracious when Shannon called her and said that it was weird of her to call when they just had that fight about a phone call weeks ago. She said she wanted Shannon to prove that she could stay calm during a social function, and Shannon agreed to be reasonable.

Minutes later, Shannon realized what she agreed to and called Meghan back, telling her while she's still invited, she didn't need to prove anything to her and wasn't going to let Meghan boss her around.

At the Bunco party, Meghan showed up and told Shannon that she wanted to start fresh and forget about what happened in the past and that she was hoping that they could be friends. But during her camera confessional, Shannon said that she didn't think Meghan was being sincere and that she was only doing this to make her feel good about herself.

Everyone sat down for a game of Bunco, and Meghan picked the game up quickly and won round after round. Jeana Keough said that they should take Meghan to Las Vegas with them.

Vicki asked Shannon if she could use her landline to make a phone call, and in one of the most devastating moments in the series, Vicki learned from her daughter Briana that her mother, Joanne Steinmetz, had passed away.

"What do you mean? What happened? No!" Vicki wailed.

"Briana, I can't do this," she told her daughter on the phone before her knees buckled and she collapsed on the floor sobbing. "How could she die? She wasn't sick at all."

Shannon walked into the kitchen and, seeing Vicki on the floor sobbing, she went to her and held her.

"My mom just died," Vicki cried out. All the other Housewives rushed to her side as Vicki cried, "I just want my mom back. I want my mom."

"The Real Housewives of Orange County" airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
