The success of "Rainbow Six: Seige" can no longer be contained, as details for the content of the "Chimera" update for the game have been revealed and features themes of quarantine and containment.

The most notable features of "Rainbow Six: Seige Chimera" will be the two new operators which will each have their own unique and diverse specializations that set them apart from the others. This time around, the two operators will come from the countries of Russia and France, though it has not been revealed which counter-terrorist units from said countries they will come from.

Speculations are that the one from France will either be an operative from Groupe d'intervention de la Gendarmerie nationale (GIGN) or Commandement des Opérations Spéciales (COS), while the one from Russia could come from the Spetsnaz. Rest assured, both will be experts in dealing with chemical warfare and hostage situations involving biohazard weapons of mass destruction.

Due to this, both operators are also expected to appear in "Rainbow Six: Siege Outbreak," which is essentially a zombie mode for the tactical first-person shooter (FPS), since both would fit right in with the theme. Their abilities, which have not been specified, are expected to be about hazard containment to be used in player versus environment (PvE) and player versus player (PvP).

Meanwhile, despite the release of "Chimera" not being announced yet, the usual release schedule and cycles of "Rainbow Six: Siege" downloadable contents (DLCs) are indications of when it can be expected. The official announcement for "Chimera" has been set by the developers for Feb. 18, which could mean that test servers for it might come live two days after.

This means, that at its earliest, players could expect "Chimera" to arrive during March 2018. Whether it will launch alongside the "Outbreak" DLC remains to be seen though. Both, however, will be available for the Xbox One, the PS4, and the PC.
