PC gamers who love cats will be excited to know that the feline-dating simulator game "Purrfect Date" is getting a PC version next month.

Developed by Bae Team and published by Bossa Studios, the game is a mix of a visual novel, a dating sim, and dark British comedy. As such, "Purrfect Date" is straightforwardly about humans dating cats, all the while discovering the mystery surrounding the strange Cat island. The game also has an announcement trailer released complete with catchy music and cute artwork.

The premise of the game sees players starting off on their new job as a researcher stationed at Cat Island. The players are also accompanied by a human named Professor Pawpur. The island is apparently surrounded by mysterious entities, and soon after, the players will discover that the feline residents of the island are not what they appear.

Players will be able to utilize a form of stat progression similar to roleplaying games as well, which they can then use to improve their chances with the cats or carry out their research more efficiently. At the moment there are six cats which can be dated on the island. They are named Floofbutt, Snooty Booty, Trixie, McMurphy, Kibbles, and an unknown cat, which the players will have to find themselves. Whether or not catfights between the six are included remains to be seen in-game.

Each cat has his/her own traits and personality which the players will need to keep in mind and categorize lest their relationship with the cats become catastrophic. The game will also let players choose between six playable humans, which they can see through six chapters of the visual novel. The developers also released a video with a story explaining why they decided to create the game, citing several inspirations and the things they loved the most, which are apparently cats.

The game will also give players a chance to see a different outcome or ending when they finish the game. This means several conclusions and multiple gameplay paths along with hidden stories and side adventures. Despite being a visual novel, the game should not be taken lightly, as "Purrfect Date" will have approximately 10 hours worth of gameplay.

"Purrfect Date" will be released on Dec. 15 for the PC via Steam.
