'Pretty Little Liars' season 6B news: Girls after 5-year time jump, new villain coming

After Cece was revealed to be "A," the show's midseason finale showed Emily (Shay Mitchell), Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Aria (Lucy Hale), Alison (Sasha Pieterse), and Hanna (Ashley Benson) saying goodbye to one another as they prepare to leave for college. The episode also showed a sneak peek into the show's return, which will see a five-year time jump.

Alison is now a teacher and appears to be married as she is seen writing her name, "Mrs. Rollins," on the blackboard. Suddenly, the girls burst in and tell her that "he's coming for you" and that they have to go now. But Spencer says that it's too late as "he's already here." It looks like the girls will have to deal with another villain who's targeting Alison when the show returns next year.

For now, it has not been revealed yet who will be coming back to torment the girls, but Melty has a few theories as to who could be season 6B's big bad. The website speculates that Lucas (Brendan Robinson) or Wren (Julian Morris), among others, will be stalking the girls.

Lucas may have every reason to come after Alison as she bullied him during high school. Meanwhile, Wren was last seen in season 4, and in his last episode on the show, he was seen coloring a sketch of a woman in a red coat, with her family in front of a barn, before it was revealed that he had moved back to England. Both Robinson and Morris are confirmed to be returning to the show.

Meanwhile, the teaser trailer for the season 6B premiere shows what has become of the girls after the five-year time jump. Alison is seen teaching, while Aria appears to be working in an office. The girls reunite and Spencer tells everyone that she misses seeing all of their faces. Hanna appears to be engaged as she shows Emily her engagement ring. Emily seems to have found college to be a huge let down as she tells Toby that her experience wasn't what she thought it was going to be, while Spencer appears to be haunted by the demons of her past.

"Pretty Little Liars" returns in January 2016 on ABC Family.
