Prayer Week Conference 2004: The Day of Salvation Comes

National Prayer Week 2004 in the UK is running from 16th to 23th of May. Organised by the United Christian Broadcaster (UCB), a whole week of activities will be arranged. 10,000 churches covering more than 400 towns and villages across the British Isles are going to pray together.

Alongside with the prayer week, a 4-day Prayer Week Conference running from Thursday 20th to Sunday 23rd May, titled It's Time based on 2 Cor 6:2 will be held at Princes Drive Baptist Church, Colwyn Bay.

The time refers to the time of God’s favour and the day of salvation, as the Scripture says:

“‘In the time of my favour I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.’ I tell you, now is the time of God’s favour, now is the day of salvation.”

Christians, saved by Jesus Christ, who died on the cross and demonstrated the power to conquer all sin, grief and despair of this world, are encouraged to release this power through their prayers for people around the world.

During the conference, a number of workshops and conference sessions are available to learn about the practice of prayer. On Thursday and Friday the days will consist of two morning workshops each day. They are about general teachings of the prayer life as well as how to pray for healing and prodigals. In both afternoon and evening, there will be full conference gatherings.

Worship at conference gatherings will be led by Pastor Robert Varnadore from Covenant International who begun his full time ministry in 1980. Speaker Andre Ashby from Minnesota, founder of Soul’s Cry Ministries, travelled extensively across the USA and abroad, teaching prophetic worship and the prophetic song of the Lord.

The conference will be closed on Sunday. Conference speakers will participate in the Sunday Services with a Prayer Concert led by prayer minstrel Godfrey Birtill in the evening.

Over the conference period, prayer request cards will be handed out in the streets and at different events. Prayers will take place on the streets and on doorsteps, making everywhere a temple of prayer.
