The launch of "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" is right around the corner. But it seems like several players were already enjoying the game before its official release next week.
We Got This Covered revealed that retail copies of the two latest games from the "Pokémon" franchise had been leaked prior to its official release date on Nov. 18. The report also spotted the post of a Reddit user called VanitaLite who revealed the full details about the exclusive offerings of both games.
According to the Reddit post, the "Pokémon Sun" exclusives include the Fighting Pokémon called the Passimian, the Fire and Dragon-type Pokémon known as the Tortunator, the Rock-type Pokémon called the Lycanroc Midday-Forme, the fire-type Pokémon A-Vulpix & Ninetails, the Psychic/Steel type Sunne Pokémon Solgaleo, as well as the Ultra Beasts UB-02 Expansion.
On the other hand, the "Pokémon Moon" exclusives will have the Normal/Psychic type Sage Pokémon dubbed as Oranguru, the Normal/Dragon type Placid Pokémon named the Drampa, the Rock type Wolf Pokémon called the Lycanroc Midnight-Forme, the Psychic/Ghost type Moone Pokémon known as the Lunala, as well as the Ultra Beasts called the UB-02 Beauty
Meanwhile, Kotaku spotted an unofficial "Pokémon Sun and Moon" tool created by richi3f called the Pokémon Team Planner. This tool will help each player pick the six members of their ideal team.
Players just need to access the tool's website to customize their team. Once the six Pokémon monsters are chosen, they can click the "+" icon located on the right to know the monster's strengths, weaknesses, and immunity against its opponents based on data that the tool creator uncovered through data mining.
The tool can also help players pick out Pokémon from certain regions. They can also distinguish each monster depending on its type and generation. This will come in handy when deciding which Pokémon is best for the player's team.
However, the tool could not be transferred into the actual game, although it could give the players an idea on what strategy they would use in the game once it finally comes out in the market.
On the other hand, reports claimed that "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" are quickly becoming two of the biggest selling titles that were released by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company based on the record-breaking number of pre-orders. The demo version also garnered 3.5 million downloads, which could mean that players are already excited to get their hands on the game.
While most countries can already start playing the "Pokémon Sun and Moon" games next Friday, those living in Europe will have to wait until Nov. 23 to enjoy the game.
