After the news came out regarding the rumored release of the "Overwatch: Insurrection" event yesterday, Blizzard Entertainment officially launched the new Uprising event, which happens to be the worldwide title of the new "Overwatch" mission.

The Uprising event goes live Tuesday, April 11, and lasts until Monday, May 1. It comes with a brand-new four-player PvE game modes that will transpire on the King's Row map.

According to the game developer, players will be able to choose the role among the playable characters Reinhardt, Mercy, Tracer, or Torbjorn. The players can any of these characters while playing the wave-based, survival mission against the group of Omnic robots called the Null Sector that proliferate in the area. Players must aim to defeat all the enemies to protect the city.

"To defeat this new threat, you'll need to work together with your team, developing new strategies and adapting on the fly as the seemingly unstoppable force continues its assault. The robots of Null Sector will stop at nothing — so you and your fellow agents need to be prepared for anything," the game developer states on its official website.

The Uprising event also comes with a number of new skins, including the "Combat Medic Ziegler" for Mercy and the "Cadet Oxton" for Tracer. It also comes with the "Talon Widowmaker," the "BlackWatch Genji," and the "BlackWatch McCree," among others.

The other contents from the Uprising event include new emotes, sprays, intros, and other items. "While the contents of each Uprising Loot Box are random, you can unlock a variety of these cosmetic customization options with credits in the Hero Gallery throughout the event's duration," the game developer also states.

Reports also reveal that the "Overwatch: Uprising" also comes with a patch that features the details about the playable characters' backstories, a redesigned Player Report system for the PC players, and several in-game voice conversations for the newly released event.
