Filming for season 2 of "Outlander" is underway, and fans cannot wait until new episodes start airing on Starz next year. But as a temporary fix for what fans call as "Droughtlander," executive producer Ronald D. Moore took to Twitter last weekend to participate in a Q&A about the show. He gave fans some information about the events and characters to be featured in season 2.

Moore revealed how much filming they have done for the season, and he wrote that they are filming "pieces from a lot of different [episodes] at the moment." He added that they will be shooting the ninth and tenth episodes in a few weeks. The producer also revealed that he wrote the first episode this season but he will not be directing this year.

When a fan asked whether the role of Bree has been cast, Moore said that the role is still available and casting is still ongoing. Bree is Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jaime's (Sam Heughan) daughter, and it was reported earlier this year that fans will get to see her as a fully grown woman in season 2. In the books, Bree is described as being almost 6 feet tall, with red hair and the slightly slanted blue eyes of her father.

Meanwhile, another fan asked if  Roger — Bree's love interest who is connected to the Mackenzies and Geillis Duncan (Lotte Verbeek) — will be appearing on the show, and Moore said that the character will make an appearance in season 2 and that casting news for Roger will be shared "once we actually cast him."

The new season is based on Diana Gabaldon's second book in the "Outlander" series titled "Dragonfly in Amber," which takes place in France. When a fan asked Moore when filming will go back to Scotland, he replied, "Once the Paris section is complete, in the next couple of weeks."

As for the premiere date for season 2, Moore said that it hasn't been set officially at the moment. "Look for March/April," he added.

"Outlander" season 2 is slated to premiere in spring 2016 on Starz.
