With the members of One Direction planning to take a year-long hiatus to focus on solo projects, fans have started speculating about their respective career moves. Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson have yet to reveal their upcoming projects, but a new report claims that one of them may be thinking about being a judge on the talent show which brought them all together in the first place.

Lately, it has been rumored that Tomlinson might be heading back to "The X Factor" to serve as a judge. Moreover, several tweets sent out by the 23-year-old singer on Wednesday, Aug. 26, sparked further speculations about his future involvement in the U.K. talent show. E! Online reports that his fans immediately replied to his messages, wondering if he is joining the competition's current season as a judge.

"So does X Factor start tonight/today?" he wrote, before adding that he got the days "mixed up" and that he "can't wait for it to start."

A show source reportedly told E! that they couldn't confirm nor deny the rumors, but the insider said that the boy band member did seem to be looking forward to the series' new season.

While it is still unclear whether he is heading to "The X Factor" or not, on Wednesday, One Direction mentor Simon Cowell appeared to confirm that Tomlinson is heading to television very soon. Speaking to Yahoo Celebrity UK, Cowell hinted that the singer might have an idea of what to do while the boyband is on hiatus.

He said, "I think Louis might be on one of the shows."
