"Nioh" won't be arriving until 2017, but gamers are already excited to give this Koei Tecmo title a whirl as the samurai-centric action role-playing game will feature a swordsman in a demon-plagued and war-torn Japan. Before the final version of the game makes its debut, players will have a chance to test the alpha and beta versions of "Nioh," and those who play either one or both will get bonuses.

According to PlayStation LifeStyle, the clear bonuses will be two helmets — Onryoma and Hinoenma. The publisher's live streams noted that the Onryoma Helmet will be available for those who completed the alpha, while those who play the beta of "Nioh" will receive the Hinoenma Helmet.

Apart from the bonuses, Koei Tecmo also revealed a new gameplay video for the upcoming title, which features a battle against an enemy known as the Great Toad.

In "Nioh," players will play as a blonde swordsman named William who faces off against demons known as yokai. Players will also get to face-off against other samurais in supernatural sword battles, and multi-target engagements offer challenges that will test even the most skilled samurai's abilities, patience, and strategy.

Those who pre-order the Standard Edition of "Nioh" will receive a Bloody Grave Dynamic Theme Instant Reward and a Nioh Armor to wear in-game, inspired by the ancient Nioh statues that guard temples across Japan.

Meanwhile, players who pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game will get the same rewards as those included in the Standard Edition, plus the full game, five in-game weapons, a PlayStation 4 avatar, and a Season Pass to unlock three pieces of extra content containing extra missions and story. The bundle also comes with the Crimson Master Armor to wear in-game, and this will be available for the first two weeks after the game's launch.

"Nioh" arrives on Feb. 7, 2017, for PlayStation 4 in North America, Feb. 8 in Europe, and Feb. 9 in Japan.
