Nexus 10 2 release date: Will Google skip tablet launch in 2013?

 PhonesArena

A Nexus 10 2 rumored release date of November 22 has come and gone. The Black Friday 2013 shopping event is coming up in just a few days but there is still no sign of Google releasing the second generation Nexus 10 2 this week.

Numerous photos and rumors have leaked regarding the Nexus 10 2, and many had hoped that it would launch together with the Nexus 5 handset in October. However, the Nexus 5 launched quietly and independently on the Google Play Store, pre-installed with the latest Android 4.4 Kit Kat.

New rumors surfacing now suggest that Google may skip releasing the second-generation 10-inch tablet in 2013 to compete with the iPad Air in time for 2013 Black Friday shopping frenzy.

But before fans give up on the a Nexus 10 2 launch before the end of year 2013, be sure to wait out for a few more days until November 29, 2013.

Although there has been no official announcement from Google regarding the Nexus 10 2 tablet, the internet has been rife with rumors that it would launch on the busiest shopping day of the year, or perhaps on Cyber Monday via the Google Play Store.

There was no official Google event or announcement for the launch of the Nexus 5 on October 31. Two release dates for the Nexus 5 handset had also passed silently before Google launched the Nexus 5 discreetly on its Play Store.

The two-rumored release dates for the Nexus 10 2 are November 22 and November 29. If the device doesn't release on any of these days, who knows, Google may just quietly launch it at the end of this month as they did with the Nexus 5.
