Nexus 10 2 release date before Black Friday 2013? Google tablets to compete with iPad Air, iPad Mini 2

 PhonesArena

Google launched the highly anticipated Nexus 5 handset and Android 4.4 KitKat operating system on Oct. 31, 2013.

The second-generation Nexus 10 tablet is also due a refresh any time, and latest rumors are pointing to a dual-launch with the Nexus 8 at the end of this month, in time for the 2013 Black Friday sales.

The latest report from Highlight Press states that the Nexus 8 tablet, which will be the same size as the iPad Mini 2, will be launched to compete directly with its Apple rival.

Google had not released any official specs regarding the Nexus 5 prior to its launch date, and the same goes for the Nexus 10 2.

However, we can be pretty sure that the rumors of the upcoming Nexus 10 2 are as follows:

Quad core Snapdragon 800 chip processor
Adreno 330 GPU
Full 2560x1600p HD display
2GB RAM
5 megapixel camera
16/32GB storage, possible up to 64GB

The device is speculated to be manufactured by Asus, the same company that manufactured the popular Nexus 7 2.

The pricing of the Nexus 10 2 is predicted to be the same as that of its predecessor. The 16 GB variant is expected to cost $399, and the 32GB will be $499.

This year's Black Friday sales are just over two weeks away, and tablets are set to be one of the most popular devices on sale.

Apple is likely to offer a discount for its latest iPad Air and iPad Mini 2 slates, and Google is expected to take part in the massive pre-holiday sales by launching the Nexus 10 2 and Nexus 8.
