The New York Comic Con is touted to be the largest pop culture event on the East Coast, and movie and TV buffs as well as comic book fans are expected to come together once more at this year's convention, which will take place from Oct. 8 to 11 at the Javits Center in New York. So what can fans expect at this big event?

According to the New York Comic Con official website, celebrity guests from different shows will be coming to the center, and some of them will be signing autographs at the NYCC autographing area. Among those who will be more than happy to give autographs are: "Game of Thrones" stars Finn Jones and Keisha Castle-Hughes; "Lord of the Rings" star John Rhys-Davies; "Suits" actress Gina Torres; "Sleepy Hollow" star Orlando Jones; "Lethal Weapon" actor Danny Glover; and "Firefly" and "Castle" star Nathan Fillion.

"Naruto" creator Masahashi Kishimoto will also be on the panels on Thursday and Friday, and iDigital Times reports that there's a chance that Kishimoto's next manga will be announced at the convention.

BamSmackPow reports that apart from the events that will take place at the Javits Center, there will also be NYCC events that will take place around the city which leads up to the convention itself. According to the website, the New York Super Week will start on Oct. 5, and the reason for the early kick-off is to give NYC residents and visitors fun things to do that are appealing to NYCC attendees but are outside of the convention's scope.

Among the activities that people can look forward to during the New York Super Week is a "The Walking Dead" fan premiere at the Madison Square Garden on Friday, Oct. 9. There will also be a "Game of Thrones" podcast followed by a Live DJ set at the Hard Rock Café on Oct. 9 by "GoT" star Kristian Nairn, who plays Hodor in the HBO show.

Meanwhile, fans looking to belt some show tunes alongside their favorite Broadway stars will get the chance to do that at Karaoke with the Broadway stars at Hard Rock Café on Oct. 5 from 8 to 10 p.m.

For ticket details, fans can visit the NYCC official website.
