In the next episode of "NCIS," the team welcomes new agent Jacqueline Sloane (Maria Bello). She however rubs Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) the wrong way.

The trailer for the upcoming installment titled "Skeleton Crew" was just released recently which showed Director Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) welcoming Sloane to the NCIS division. The team largely has no issues with the new hire but she somehow rubs Gibbs the wrong way. "I answer to Director Vance, not to you," she tells Gibbs firmly.

The senior agent tells Sloane that he does not like games but she replies, "You will like having me around because you enjoy a good fight." It seems like Gibbs is going to have his hands full with this feisty new recruit.

In the meantime, agents Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) and Ellie Bishop (Emily Wickersham) investigate a case involving a kidnapped soldier. Their mission leads them out to sea on a boat to track evidence. In the midst of a huge storm, Torres seemingly may have tracked the perpetrator as he holds out his gun and slowly searches the premises.

In the previous episode, Donald "Ducky" Mallard (David McCallum) received a tempting offer from his colleague Dr. Cadence Darwin to write a book in New York about his entire field. Mallard at first did not want to accept the offer but once he was told that the book would serve as a definitive reference for anyone studying forensic psychology, he decided otherwise.

This meant that he would be away from the NCIS team for three months in residence at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York to write the book. The team welcomed his decision and wished him good luck.

"NCIS" season 15 episode 4 will air on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
