"NCIS" fans are in for a treat as one of Tony DiNozzo's (Michael Weatherly) ex-girlfriends is coming for a visit. According to TVLine, Scottie Thompson is coming back to reprise her role as Jeanne Benoit in a multiple story arc coming up in the November sweeps.

Thompson announced her return to the series in a Twitter post on Wednesday, Oct. 7. The actress posted a picture of her with Weatherly and captioned it, "It has been quite a while…Reunited and it feels so good! @M_Weatherly @NCIS_CBS."

Though the actors were all smiles in the Twitter photo, their characters are about to have an awkward reunion as things didn't end well for the two of them. Tony and Jeanne were together back in season 4, and it can be recalled that their relationship was very complicated because Jeanne is the daughter of arms dealer Rene Benoit, also known as La Grenouille or The Frog. Tony and Jeanne's relationship was going well until she learned that Tony is an NCIS agent who was assigned to take down her father.

Jeanne broke up with Tony, and in a letter, she asked him to choose between her and his job. When Tony chose the NCIS, various situations erupted from there, and Jeanne even tried to pin her father's murder on Tony. When she asked if anything they had was real, Tony said no.

It's quite possible that Tony was lying to her that time just to make things a little less painful for them. It is also unknown why Jeanne is back, but her return could affect Tony's relationship with his girlfriend Zoe.

Tony's current relationship appears to be quite a serious one. This week, he talked to Gibbs about having kids. But Jeanne's reappearance could cause Tony to think twice, and in the November episodes of the show, viewers will find out whether she's back to rekindle their romance, or simply to get some much needed closure.

"NCIS" airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on CBS.
