NBA trade rumors 2018: Isaiah Thomas shows no liking for LeBron James after Lakers trade

The aftermath of the National Basketball Association (NBA) player trade is now being felt as the traded players acclimatize themselves to their new teams and acquaint themselves with new teammates.

One player who recently switched teams speaks up about his particular experience with a former teammate. Los Angeles Lakers point guard Isaiah Thomas, who previously belonged to the Cleveland Cavaliers, said he felt LeBron James talked down to him during his stint with the said team.

This information was revealed via a podcast from Skip and Shannon Undisputed, in which the exact quote regarding Thomas and LeBron's relationship was "I was talking to somebody yesterday close to Isaiah, and they said, 'Isaiah Thomas has absolutely no love at all for LeBron ... He felt like LeBron talked down to him when he was there.'"

Thomas has not directly stated this but actually publicly criticized the Cavaliers when he discussed his hip injury which he suffered during the 2016–17 playoffs. It seems that Thomas was not particularly fond of the Cavaliers after his injury for some reason, and whether his problems were just with James or the whole team was unspecified.

Still, Thomas remains optimistic that his new team Lakers will be better for him, and he has promised to put on a good show for them. He is now reportedly happy after his recovery from the injury and is looking forward to his first real practice this year with his new teammates.

Meanwhile, James is not showing any negativity and admits that he will not or does not express contempt for anyone or any team. He is also confident that the Cavaliers' new lineup will be good regardless of who they got in the trade and explains that what happened was just business and that is how the industry runs.

It seems that the Cavaliers are off to a good start, scoring an impressive 121–99 victory over the Boston Celtics on Sunday in their first game with their new members on the floor.
