Muyiwa Presents Gospel Music before Thousands This Summer

|TOP|Various gospel events in the UK are lined up for this summer, and worship leader Muyiwa will be participating in almost every event.

Immediately after taking part in leading praise at the historical Mission to London event, which ends 22 July, Muyiwa will head to Britain’s largest outdoor gospel music festival, Praise in the Park at Tooting Bec Common.

In addition to Muyiwa, Praise in the Park will feature performances from other well known gospel artists in the UK, such as Birmingham gospel sensation Cie, gospel RNB group Sons of Light, gospel rapper Jahaziel, urban gospel group Company, the Beechcroft Chapel Choir and the Croydon SDA Choir.

|AD|Rev Heather Dixon, leader of the Praise in the Park committee stated, “We are really excited about this year’s line up for Praise in the Park and the range of activites that will take place at this year’s event.”

“Our desire has always been for Praise in the Park to be an event that everyone can enjoy. It is one of the UK’s premier gospel events, and gives the church an opportunity to interact with the local community at an enjoyable event that can appeal to everyone, whatever their religious persuasion. The last Praise in the Park attracted over 3000 attendees. We are expecting to surpass that number this year.”

Following Praise in the Park, Muyiwa will host the Oasis Awards, the 'first ever UK Gospel Music and Church Awards', which will be held at the Hackney Empire.

The Oasis Awards will be giving away a total of 34 awards in a range of categories. These categories will include: Minister of the Year, Church/Ministry of the Year, Best Album - Best Gospel Song - Best Praise and Worship Song - Best Reggae/Hip-Hop Song, Best Holy Hip Hop artist, International Choir of the Year, International Female Artist of the Year and International Minister/TV Ministry of the Year.
