PC gamers better prepare their hardware for monsters, as the developers of "Monster Hunter World" have announced that a late 2018 release is quite possible.

Capcom, the developer and publisher of the game, has confirmed that the studio is now aiming for a Fall 2018 PC release for "Monster Hunter World." This is quite a long way off from the Jan. 26 release of the game on the PlayStation 4 (PS4) and Xbox One, but it is still something for PC owners to hold on to.

This was because the game still needs proper optimization on the PC, which can be quite difficult for a game originally developed for consoles, as PCs have lots of hardware and software variations compared to the uniformity of the Xbox One and PS4. PC players and fans of "Monster Hunter World" can then expect the game to have a resolution higher than that of its console counterparts, as well as smoother frame rates and better graphics.

Capcom has also published a video on Twitter stating the announcement and thanking PC players at the same time for their patience. They also noted that more details would arrive later depending on the progress of the developers on the PC port of the game. Sometime in the year, and after the console launch of the game, they might reveal what differences the PC version would entail.

In addition to technical improvements for the PC port, the developers have also promised PC owners a lot more to look forward to once the PC port gets released since additional content updates will be added to the game after the console launch. These may come in the form of new monsters, quests, gear, or areas which might be readily available for the PC along with the free downloadable content (DLC).

As of right now, there are no exact release dates specified by the developers, and fans should also note that this release date for PC might still get pushed back depending on development difficulties.
