In the next episode of "Modern Family," Claire Dunphy (Julie Bowen) throws a 10-year wedding anniversary party for her father Jay Pritchett (Ed O'Neill) and his wife Gloria (Sofia Vergara).

The synopsis and promotional pictures of the upcoming installment titled "Ten Years Later" was released just recently and showed Claire overseeing the wedding anniversary party as she takes down important notes from Cameron Tucker (Eric Stonestreet). Apparently, her husband Phil is going to perform a magic trick wherein Gloria will appear out of thin air in her wedding dress. Phil discusses his plans with Claire who jots down more notes so that the wedding program will go along smoothly. It turns out that Claire is making herself busy with the planning because she apparently is in a sad mood. Something like the party will seemingly keep her mind off her problems and worries.

At the start of the party's festivities, Jay's son Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) appears to be the wedding singer. He sings his heart out as his family and friends look on with surprise and laughter. It remains to be seen if Mitchell will give a good performance and not make a fool of himself. Also, it is yet to be revealed why Claire is in a bad mood.

In the last episode, Claire and Phil desperately wanted to bring the Halloween spirit back in the family. Their kids have gotten a lot older and were not that thrilled about the holiday. The parents decided to spend it themselves by riding their pumpkin boat in the bay. Their kids found out about it and decided to show their support by cheering them on. Claire and Phil humorously did not know how to row properly and drifted further.

"Modern Family" season 9 episode 6 will air on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 9 p.m. EDT on ABC.
