In the next episode of "Modern Family," Cameron Tucker (Eric Stonestreet) and his partner Mitchell Pritchett (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) go up against Pepper Saltzman (Nathan Lane) and Ronaldo (Christian Barillas) in a game of kickball.

The trailer for the upcoming installment titled "Sex, Lies, & Kickball" was released just recently and showed Tucker and Pritchett in the park playing against rival partners, Saltzman and Ronaldo. Prior to their battle, they appear at home with Tucker throwing the ball at Saltzman's son who is not able to catch it. It is likely that Tucker offended Saltzman as he and Ronaldo gasp in disgust at them. It seems that the two couples want to prove who is better at a game of kickball. They also want to show their kids who the better players are and earn their respect and admiration.

On the field, the two gay couples run, throw the ball, and have a well-spirited game. At one point, however, Saltzman and Tucker start slapping each other with their hands. It remains to be seen who will win at their game and have bragging rights over the other.

In the last episode, Pritchett and Tucker were having their kitchen renovated. However, Pritchett felt that his partner was undermining him behind his back. When Tucker laughed at a joke with one of the workers, Pritchett fell insecure and thought that they were making a joke about him.

He also felt insecure that the workers were calling Tucker the "Boss" while they just referred to him by his first name. In the end, the couple kissed and made up and agreed to feel secure with each other no matter who was in front of them.

"Modern Family" season 9 episode 4 will hit the airwaves on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 9 p.m. EDT on ABC.
