This week on "Modern Family," some members of the Dunphy and the Pritchett family got what they wanted for Christmas, and after a very long wait, Andy and Haley finally got together.

In the episode titled "White Christmas," all Gloria wanted for the holidays is to experience an actual, white Christmas, as she never had that growing up in Colombia. The entire family went to a cabin in the mountains in hopes of having a wintry holiday, but upon getting there, they discovered that there's no snow, and worse, it's even hotter in the mountains than it was back home.

Andy and Beth were invited to come along, but after Beth said that she couldn't make it, Andy decided to come anyway and was determined to be in his best behavior with Haley, especially with Phil around. Since last season, the attraction between Haley and Andy has been growing stronger, but they chose to ignore it as Andy and Beth were still together. At the cabin, Andy and Haley tried to tiptoe around each other, but later, the entire family found them in a compromising position, just as Gloria was welcoming Beth inside.

As Andy was about to tell Beth what happened, Beth confessed that she has been cheating on him. After she left, Andy and Haley realized that now they could be together, and the two watched the falling snow—which was actually ash falling from a mountain—with the rest of the family.

"Modern Family" will be going on a hiatus this month as, according to Bustle, the series typically goes on a month-long break every season around the second week of December. While there are no details about the next episode, The Futon Critic lists Jan. 6 as the show's return date to ABC. Hopefully, fans will get to see more of Andy and Haley together and find out whether their relationship will flourish.

"Modern Family" season 7 returns on Jan. 6 on ABC.
