Gaming giant Nintendo is on a roll this year with the announcement of the Nintendo 2DS XL and the huge success of Nintendo Switch. Gamers thought that they'd reach their quota for sales but the newly released "Minecraft" for Nintendo Switch has everyone raving about it.

In the years since it was first launched, "Minecraft" has been a popular game about building blocks and going on adventures. With the recent release on the portable Nintendo Switch, "Minecraft" takes the hype to another level with a nostalgic gift for all Nintendo console users: a custom and built-in "Super Mario Mash-Up" pack.

According to the staff behind "Minecraft," the pack comes with over 15 tracks from "Super Mario 64" and skins from each of the 40 characters in Mario's world. Extra worlds also include packs themed with Chinese mythology, Halloween, festive and Greek mythology. "Minecraft" for Nintendo Switch will first come on sale in the Nintendo eShop in North America before going on sale in Europe and Japan on May 13.

A review from Kotaku emphasized that "Minecraft" looks like it was definitely built for the Nintendo Switch. This version of the popular game allows users to have better performance, ease of use and better control. So far, reviews for the newly released version of "Minecraft" have nothing but positive words to say about it.

The trailer for "Minecraft" Nintendo Switch was also released and it features the iconic interface and graphics that gamers have been used to associating to the game. "Minecraft" on Nintendo Switch also features a split-screen that supports four players — a perfect mode for friends and family members. Whether played handheld or on TV, the resolution and support of the Nintendo Switch won't have players experiencing anything other than 720p resolution in all modes.
