Meghan Markle visits mom in L.A., communicates with Prince Harry via FaceTime, text messaging

Fans of the newly-engaged couple Prince Harry and actress Meghan Markle might have missed the latter during the Henry Van Straubenzee Memorial Fund carol concert at St. Luke's Church in London on Tuesday, but as it turned out, the "Suits" actress was back in Los Angeles.

Many noticed that the royal attended the event muse-less while others noted that Prince Harry's ex, Cressida Bonas, was also present during the night. Apparently, Markle was nowhere near her fiancé at the time as she was back in Los Angeles to make an important visit, an E! News source claimed.

The 36-year-old actress was visiting her mother Doria Ragland, but the source revealed that Markle would be back in London in time for the holidays as she would spend it with Prince Harry and the family. Now that they are apart from each other, the two are reportedly communicating via text messaging.

Markle and Prince Harry are also fans of FaceTime, with the source saying that the app had played a major role in their communication. Aside from this, the 33-year-old was fond of emojis and gifs, much like everyone else, the source revealed.

They would be going on a vacation after spending the holidays together, an insider divulged. "They're looking forward to some sun," the source continued.

Markle and Prince Harry's engagement was heavily rumored and speculated prior to its announcement on Nov. 27. During the time, news that the actress would be leaving "Suits" after season 7 to move in with her boyfriend in London were circulating.

This was further fueled when she was spotted filming a wedding scene in Toronto for the legal drama series, where she played Rachel Zane opposite Patrick J. Adams' Mike Ross. It was confirmed by the USA network that she would not be joining the cast for "Suits" season 8 after the engagement announcement was made.
