Mark Hall's wife overwhelmed by outpouring of support given to her husband as he battles cancer

Christian singers are #prayingformark (Facebook/Mandisa)

Casting Crown's lead singer Mark Hall is battling cancer, and when he shared to the world about his ordeal, there was such an outpouring of support and concern for the singer that his wife Melanie said that they have been "completely humbled" by it.

"There are no words to express the gratitude in this wife's heart. Thank you for praying for us. We have had friends and strangers from all over the world tell us they are praying - an orphan school in Kenya, neighbors we just met, long lost high school friends, Christian Music Artists from their concerts, schools, offices, pastors in South Africa, chaplains inthe Army, churches, radio DJs, fans, missionaries in Brazil, and countless others I couldn't begin to name. Thank you. Your prayers are felt," Melanie wrote in Casting Crown's Facebook page.

She added that many have prayed that the Hall family be blessed with peace in the midst of their ordeal, and God has graciously honoured that prayer.

"Mark and I have peace that we are where we are supposed to be and that God has allowed this in our lives for a reason. And He has assured us that He is using this to bring people to Him," she said.

Melanie shared that her husband did not even seem anxious about the surgery to remove his kidney, and was more concerned about being away from the students of their church for a month of recovery.

She asked people to continue praying for complete healing and a quick recovery for Mark. What's more, Melanie hopes that they will be able to use this moment to share Christ's love to others. "Pray that we will have strength and courage to represent Him well on this journey," she said.

Melanie believes that Mark is battling cancer now so that people will be brought to God. "It may even be one of the reasons God has allowed this," concluded Melanie.
