Based on comparison, both devices are powered with the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system, and built with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 display and back panel. However, the similarities end there.

On the other hand, the latest Samsung flagship smartphone enjoys the privilege of being the first device in the market to feature the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. But the LG G6 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821.

Meanwhile, smartphone enthusiasts are comparing the camera specs for both devices since Samsung and LG claim that their latest devices have the best smartphone shooters in the market today.

For Samsung Galaxy S8, the primary rear camera has 12-megapixel resolution. It comes with a Sony IMX333 sensor with dual pixel autofocus, as well as an optical image stabilization. The LG G6 also has premiere camera specs, including dual cameras in the rear with one standard and one wide-angle lenses. But compared to Samsung, LG's rear camera comes with 13-megapixel resolution.

According to reviews, Samsung has the upper hand in the camera department when it comes to the camera specs. But based on the color quality and the camera's dynamic range, LG has the better shooter quality compared to its competitor. However, Samsung's new smartphone has the better clarity especially in low light conditions.

Samsung Galaxy S8 can be purchased for $849.95 to $939.99, while the LG G6 is being sold for $500 to $633.87. Both devices can be purchased directly on their websites or from their official in-store and online retailers.
