LG G3 release date for Verizon, Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile this summer; Preorders available soon

LG has announced one of the biggest mobile phone contenders of the year – the LG G3.

The phone, which comes packed with powerful specs and features, will be available across all major carriers in the U.S. – Sprint, Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile. The phones will start shipping in South Korea first on May 28. Reports suggest that the phones be available for U.S. customers in the summer.

No specific release date has been provided by the carriers, but the phones are expected to be available for pre-order soon. Pricing for each individual carrier has not been revealed, but the smartphones are expected to hit the $200 dollar mark with a new two-year contract.

The LG G3 has been revealed in simultaneous launch events across London, New York and San Francisco on May 27. The smartphone packs a 13 megapixel camera with laser auto-focus and its highly publicized 2k pixel display.

The LG G3 body is made out of plastic, but it sports a metallic finish. Its 5.5 quadHD display has 2560x1440 pixels and is powered by 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor with Adreno 330 GPU. The 32 GB version packs 3GB RAM while the 16 GB comes with 2GB RAM.

As expected, keys are on the pack panel of the device. The phone runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat with new UI. It supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wifi, NFC and GPS.

The phone also comes with a security feature, is water and dust resistant, and is available in metallic black, silk white, shine gold, moon violet, and burgundy.
