Lamar Odom latest condition update: Khloe Kardashian staying by ex-husband's side

Lamar Odom was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday, Oct. 13, after the basketball star was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel. According to reports, the NBA star remains in a coma and is in critical condition, and it is believed that he had an accidental overdose.

It was reported that Odom's ex-wife, Khloe Kardashian, along with her sister Kim and mother Kris Jenner rushed to the basketball player's side at the Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas on Tuesday night.

Reverend Jesse Jackson told E! News that he was happy when he saw Khloe embrace Odom as she has reportedly stayed with him and hasn't left his side since she arrived at the hospital.

The pair married in 2009 and parted ways after four years of marriage. It was reported that Odom and Khloe signed divorce papers last July, but a judge has yet to approve the divorce papers.

"She's strong, she's hopeful, she's loving and caring," said Jackson of the reality star. "When he does wake up, he'll see her and that's a source of joy and consolation."

Jackson said that doctors say Odom is recovering, though there has been no official word from the hospital. Jackson also told reporters that the 35-year old is on life support but has shown signs of responsiveness.

A hospital source told E! that it was likely that the athlete had an accidental overdose, as doctors allegedly found evidence of various drugs such as crack cocaine and "virtually every drug imaginable" in his system. The source added that it was also possible that he had an ischemic stroke.

Meanwhile, Odom's rep Eve Sarkisyan has released a statement to Us Weekly, telling fans not to believe all the reports that have been coming out regarding the basketball star's condition.

"Family and friends are extremely concerned for Lamar," said Sarkisyan. "Please don't listen to the false information being circulated unofficially. Please respect the family's privacy during this difficult time."
