Lamar Odom health update: Former NBA player reportedly goes on a hike with Kardashians

Lamar Odom is said to be doing much better after leaving Cedars-Sinai hospital last month. While it was reported that the former NBA player has still a long way to go toward complete recovery, Kim Kardashian revealed on Instagram that Odom went on a hike with her and the 36-year-old's estranged wife Khloe last Sunday, Feb. 7.

Kim posted a picture of a hiking trail on the photo sharing app and captioned it, "Super Soul Sunday time before Super Bowl Sunday time with Khloe & Lamar."

A source told People magazine that Khloe continues to look after Odom in the wake of his health scare. Back in October, the former basketball star was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel after an accidental overdose. It was reported that he suffered more than a dozen strokes and was in a coma for a few days. He was transferred to Cedar-Sinai after a few days in a hospital in Nevada.

"He still needs help walking," a source told People about the father of two. "Lamar is not driving himself and instead has a driver. Whenever he leaves the house, he looks happy. He looks alert and often smiles. He is definitely looking more like the old Lamar."

TMZ reports that Odom appears to have made a miraculous recovery as his cognitive functions have "significantly returned." The website claims that he is able to process thoughts, express them, and even carry on conversations.
He is also said to be able to recognize people now. Previously, it was reported that Odom had problems recognizing people, even family members, for several months after he was rushed to the hospital.

While the star is still not completely recovered, TMZ says that he is still "a bit slow" and has memory lapses, but the issues are allegedly not as severe as they were compared to his condition during the past few months since his accidental overdose.
